Summer Kick-Off: Uncle Wayne and the Howling Dog Band

June 2, 2019 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am

Uncle Wayne and the Howling Dog Band holding instruments

Come for Kaimuki Public Library’s Summer Reading Kick Off with acclaimed children’s musicians Uncle Wayne and the Howling Dog Band!

Since 2010 Uncle Wayne and the Howling Dog Band, Uncle Wayne, Mr. Girish & Dr. Pfahl, have been barnstorming Hawaii’s libraries, schools and festivals creating a musical ruckus with every show. Their original songs, a unique blend of island flavored bluegrass, folk and blues make children and their grownups want to dance and sing along. Playing 80+ shows a year, it’s no wonder Hana Hou magazine dubbed them “the hardest-working band in keiki showbiz.”

Our Family Storytime will be back to our regular schedule the following week!

Sponsored by the Hawaii State Department of Health and supported by Hawaii Children’s Action Network, Family Hui Hawaii, and the Hawaii State Public Library System.

Program is subject to change.

If you require an auxiliary aid or accommodation due to a disability, please contact the library at least 7 days before the program date.
