National Weather Service meteorological expert Gregory Hall will present a lecture on severe weather. The lecture will allow an in-depth look at Hawaiʻi’s weather throughout during the winter and wet season, which generally runs from September through February. Mr. Hall will also cover in-depth the weather system that caused the historic flooding last spring and how we can recognize if a similar pattern has the potential to develop again.

Gregory Hall is the Meteorologist in Charge, NWS Kauaʻi Office. He specializes in tropical weather analysis and prediction, including hurricanes. Mr. Hall has forecast weather on every continent except Antarctica and has spent 14 years on Kauaʻi, 2 years in Guam and 21 years as a Meteorologist in the U.S. Air Force.
