
Join Maka’ala for a reading and talkstory about his book Nā Wahine Kahuna ‘Ekolu: Three Women Masters of Old Hawai’i in which he shares how his three kumu (Aunty Margaret Machado, ‘Iolani Luahine, and Morrnah Simeona) profoundly shaped him as a member of the first Hōkūleʻa crew in 1976 and throughout his decades of practice as a Native Hawaiian healer and teacher.
