Join us for a special morning with Crystal Turner and her daughter Christiana, a self-published mother-daughter author duo traveling all the way from Collinsville, Oklahoma to share their children’s book Your Black is Beautiful. Through an interactive read-aloud and family-centered conversation, they’ll discuss their publishing journey, Christiana’s role in bringing the book to life, and why representation in children’s literature matters. Children will be encouraged to celebrate who they are, use their voice, and feel safe talking with the adults they trust. Families will also receive simple strategies for creating safe spaces for meaningful conversations at home. Great for children ages 0–5 and their families. ALL welcomed!
Registration is recommended. Register at the link below.
