DESCRIPTION:Join us for a monthly community storytelling series\, where true\, personal stories come alive through local voices. Stories We Carry is a gathering space designed for deep listening\, authentic connection\, and quiet reflection. \nDo you have a sea glass that fits perfectly in your palm? A rusty key to a door that no longer exists? Binoculars with a green patina that whispers of someone you loved? A coin from a country that’s no longer on the map? Our next Stories We Carry is about found objects – the things that choose us as much as we choose them. These objects hold more than memory; they hold energy\, history\, the weight of all the hands that touched them before yours. What’s yours? And what would it say if it could tell its story?  \nWe’re looking for 7 storytellers to share their 7-minute tales on stage. Submit your story\, and whether you’re selected or not\, bring your found object to our interactive gathering afterward. Some stories start with “I found this” and end with “this found me.” Which one is yours? \nWhether you’re a seasoned storyteller or new to sharing\, your story matters. Come as you are\, bring your curiosity\, your presence\, and perhaps a story that’s been waiting to be told. \nRSVPs are optional but helpful for planning purposes. Stories should be true\, personal narratives\, 7 minutes in length. Up to 7 stories will be selected. \nTo RSVP or to submit your story\, please email beth.yos@librarieshawaii.org.
