SUMMARY:Book Club
DESCRIPTION:Please join our book club for a discussion of The Bangalore Detectives Club by Harini Nagendra\, the first in a charming\, joyful crime series set in 1920s Bangalore\, featuring sari-wearing detective Kaveri and her husband Ramu. Clever\, headstrong Kaveri resigned herself to a quiet life; all that changes the night a party at the Century Club turns into a murder scene. Kaveri soon finds that sleuthing in a sari isn’t as hard as it seems when you have a talent for math\, a head for logic\, and a doctor for a husband… and she’s going to need them all as the case leads her deeper into a hotbed of danger\, sedition\, and intrigue in Bangalore’s darkest alleyways. \nCopies of the book are available at Honokaa Library’s circulation desk. All books we read are chosen by members of the group. At this meeting\, the club will be choosing the next six months of books\, so please bring your suggestions! All are welcome. \nAnyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication\, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program\, service\, or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged\, but not required. All programs are subject to change.
