SUMMARY:Fall Break Fun: Read to a Therapy Dog!
DESCRIPTION:Keiki can improve their reading skills by reading to a therapy dog! Visit the Hawai’i State Library to read to Nugget\, a therapy dog from Pet Partners\, a national organization that has helped to evaluate and support therapy animal teams since 1977. Nugget loves making new friends and can’t wait to meet and read with you! \nA sign-up sheet for 5-10 minute sessions will be available at the Edna Allyn Children’s Desk on the morning of the program. All ages welcome; children under 5 must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver. \nAnyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication\, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program\, service or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible.
