SUMMARY:Aunty Iwalani's Native Hawaiian Bird Escape Room for Keiki
DESCRIPTION:Kahuku Public and School Library will roll out its first escape room for keiki ages 8+. \nBring your math\, spelling\, and logic skills to help Aunty Iwalani on an important mission to save Native Hawaiian birds. \nSmall groups (adults and teens welcome to join keiki) will have limited time to solve our birdsong/music-themed escape room!  \nAn escape room is a timed physical adventure game in which participants must work together to solve a series of puzzles using clues\, hints\, and strategy.    \nRegistration required. Maximum 4-6 participants per session. \nWe have 8 opportunities available in the month of June: \nFriday afternoons on June 20th\, and 27th from noon to 2pm \nTuesday evenings on June 17th and 24th from 5pm to 7pm \nPlease note: If your group doesn’t show up for your timeslot within 5 minutes\, your slot may be given to another group.  \n You may register in person or call us during open hours at 808-293-8935.  \nBig mahalo to the Kapolei Public Library’s Jennifer Vinzons for creating the storyline and inspiring this modification of her tween escape room. \nThis event is sponsored by the Friends of the Library Kahuku (FOLK). \nThis event is subject to change.  Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication\, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program\, service\, or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged but not required.
