DESCRIPTION:Front of Makawao Library Every Wednesday 1:30-4:30 PM\, except holidays \nGet direct help with program questions\, application submission\, renewal assistance\, application follow-up\, Kokua Card assistance\, document guidance for the SNAP program. \nSNAP stands for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program which helps families struggling in today’s economy to afford healthy food from local markets & grocery stores. SNAP benefits can even be used to purchase food bearing seeds and plants. \n*If it is a burden to come to the library\, you can contact 808-852-1020 or 808- 348- 4718 to arrange for a home consultation.  \nFor more information – Project Vision Hawaii \nBenefit\, Employment & Support Services | SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (SNAP) (hawaii.gov) \nAnyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication\, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program\, service or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged\, but not required.
