SUMMARY:Helping Hands Puppet Show
DESCRIPTION:In Helping Hands\, two friends disturb a resting trash spirit and hijinks ensue. Through experimentation and imagination\, our friends discover the fun that can come from what we’ve tossed aside. This nonverbal\, 30-min performance contains interactive games\, music-making\, and puppetry all using upcycled materials. Each family will have the chance to consider: what can I do with my helping hands? \nThe Helping Hands team is the inaugural performance created under the Alliance Theatre and TYA/USA’s Theatre for Very Young Dvelopment Program\, a program committed to growing the scope and qualiy of art created for our youngest community members. This performance brings play and education aligning with the Hawaii Early Learning and Development Standards (HELDS) for Initiators and Social Negotiators. \nHelping Hands asks us what we can do with our helping hands and invites us to change ‘waste’ with wonder! \nAppropriate for ages 0-5 and their families. \n  \nAnyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication\, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program\, service or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged\, but not required. Program schedule is subject to change. \n  \n
