Join an Online Challenge with Beanstack. Find your next great read recommended titles from our Book Talk Videos. Learn a new skill or craft with HSPLS Creates. Listen to conversation with authors and other interesting people with recordings from our Talk Story With series.

Looking for something fun to do while being at home? Try one of these self-paced online challenges through Beanstack.

Beanstack – Track Your Reading Progress

Read books, ebooks, audiobooks, or magazines. It’s your choice.

Log your reading at librarieshawaii.beanstack.org 

Earn virtual badges for completing challenges. Some challenges, like the Summer Reading Challenge, will have additional incentives.

Not sure what to read next? Check out our book talks for all ages to hear what our librarians suggest.

  • Keiki Reads: Easy Picture books, Juvenile Fiction, & Juvenile Non-Fiction. Recommended for pre-school to 2nd grade
  • Middle Grade Book Talks: Middle grade book talks. Juvenile and Young Adult fiction and non-fiction. Appropriate for tweens.
    (Grades 6-8th)
  • Nēnē Award Nominees: Kids in grade 4-6 get to for their favorite book each spring.
  • Teen Book Talks: HSPLS staff review their favorite books for Young Adults in this series of book talks.
  • Adult Book Talks: Favorite books, old and new for adult readers.
