The Hawaii State Public Library System is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone, and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. The Hawaii State Public Library System’s website is designed to be compatible with a wide variety of browsers, and with assistive technologies in mind. To this end, our website conforms to W3C’s “Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 Level AA.
