A Fresh Look for Your Library!
This year’s Summer Reading Challenge also coincides with the exciting unveiling of our vibrant new look.
Inspired by local culture and community, the colorful design is featured on new, eco-friendly library cards. The design incorporates traditional geometric patterns found in Hawaiian kapa, artwork, and tattoos, forming the letter “H” to represent the Hawaiʻi State Public Library System.
The new library cards are biodegradable to better protect the natural environment we all cherish. If you have a card but want the new one, you can visit your local library to trade it in at no cost. This new look is a visual invitation for people to learn how our libraries have evolved to meet the changing needs of our communities.
So, this summer, get a free new library card, track your reading, and win some amazing prizes!
