Renew and return materials

Renew

I haven’t finished my book(s) or other items. Can I keep them longer?

Yes, if there are no reserves on the items.

ItemRenewal period
Book and most other items3 weeks

Automatic Renewals

All eligible items for renewal will be auto-renewed up to two times. This means that if an item is NOT on hold for someone else, it will automatically be renewed. If an item is on hold for another person, the item WILL NOT be auto-renewed. If multiple items are checked out, it is possible that one or more will not auto-renew because they have a hold placed on them. Please be sure to account online or via the mobile app to review due dates.

Return

Where

Most library materials do not have to be returned to the library from which they were borrowed. They may be returned to any public library. Isn’t that neat!

When

Because audiovisual materials (DVDs, CDs, etc.) can be damaged when heavy books fall on top of them in the book drop, they should ALWAYS be returned to a circulation desk or to one of the libraries with dedicated audiovisual book drops.

During the library’s open hours you may return books to the circulation desk.

After hours, books may be returned in the library’s book drop.
