Friends of the Library of Hawai‘i Booksale at Kaka‘ako MakaiThe 76th Annual Friends of the Library of Hawai‘i Booksale returns from July 12 to 20, 2025, at its new location, 200 Keawe Street in Kakaʻako Makai (view map). Presented by Hawaii State Federal Credit Union, this event is Hawai‘i’s largest used booksale, featuring over 125,000 books across every genre imaginable. Since 1947, the FLH Booksale has been a beloved island tradition, drawing thousands of readers for several days of unbeatable bargains on new, used, out-of-print, and bestselling titles.

Beyond books, the sale offers a diverse collection of CDs, DVDs, comics, manga, and many rare finds. A popular highlight is the Hawaiiana section with many collectible and out of print titles.

Most libraries will be closed Friday, July 3; however, ʻAiea, ʻĀina Haina, Hanapēpē, Hawai‘i Kai, Hilo, Kahului, Kailua-Kona, Kīhei, Liliha, Makawao, McCully-Mōʻiliʻili, Princeville, Thelma Parker, Wahiawā, Waialua, Waimānalo, Waikīkī-Kapahulu, and Waipahu will be open July 3 and closed Saturday, July 4.
