The State of Hawaiʻi has launched the Kōkua Food Drive, a weeklong campaign from November 3–7 in partnership with the Hawaiʻi State Public Library System to support food banks across the islands during the ongoing federal shutdown and disruptions to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
DATES: November 3-7, 2025
TIMES: Regular library business hours
LOCATIONS: All public library branches except Kāne‘ohe and Wahiawā and Lāhainā
ITEMS: Canned and other nonperishable food items.
Monetary donations are also welcome and can be made online at the Hawaii Foodbank website.
Donations will be distributed by the Hawaiʻi Foodbank, Maui Food Bank, The Food Basket, and their partner agencies to help ensure continued access to food for families in need.
