Honolulu City Lights Opening Night & FLH Holiday Market on November 29

Honolulu City Lights will brighten downtown Honolulu on Saturday, November 29th, with an evening full of festive celebrations. The event will feature the lighting of the 55-foot Cook pine tree in front of Honolulu Hale at approximately 6:00 p.m., followed by the Public Workers’ Electric Light Parade along South King Street, showcasing colorful floats, marching bands, and holiday-themed displays.

This year, Thomas Square Park will also be part of the treasured festivities, as Show Aloha Land transforms the park into a winter wonderland. Visitors can stroll through dazzling lights, interactive installations, and themed displays, making it a perfect stop for families and friends to take photos and soak in the holiday spirit.

To coincide with the event, the Friends of the Library of Hawai‘i will be hosting a Holiday Market on the lawn of the Hawai‘i State Library from 4:00-9:00 p.m. More information will be provided soon.
