How is artificial intelligence (AI) shaping our world, our communities, and our future? Join us for “AI & Us,” a special facilitated discussion series hosted in partnership with the AI Safety & Awareness Project, happening now through November 28, 2026 at select libraries statewide! Registration is required, and space is limited for each session.

Through guided discussions and shared learning, we’ll explore the opportunities, challenges, and real-world impacts of AI across three topics:

Topic #1 | Why AI Is Our Ultimate Test and Greatest Invitation
Watch a presentation by Tristan Harris of the Center for Humane Technology on responsible AI development, followed by a facilitated, community-centered discussion.

Topic #2 | AI and the Future Ahead of Us
Explore the basics of AI, how it’s developed, how it’s used today, and what an AI-driven future could mean for us all.

Topic #3 | Child Safety & AI
Examine the impact of AI chatbots on youth, recent safety failures, and the measures being taken to address these concerns. Please note: This session covers sensitive topics, including self-harm and suicide, and is not suitable for minors.
