Help Us Reach Our Goal of 25,000 Summer Readers!

2025 Summer Reading Challenge logoOver 20,000 readers across Hawaiʻi have already signed up for the 2025 Summer Reading Challenge, surpassing last year’s total with four weeks still to go! The Challenge runs through July 31, and we’re calling on you to help us reach the statewide goal of 25,000 participants.

It’s inspiring to see so many people embracing the Challenge and reading books this summer, but we’re not done yet! We want to make sure everyone reads at least one book this summer. With more than a million residents in Hawaiʻi, achieving our goal is within reach, and together, we can continue to honor Hawaiʻi’s legacy of literacy.

By registering and tracking your reading progress through your local library, online, or using the free Beanstack app, you’ll be eligible for some fun prizes, including McDonald’s snack cards, stickers, tote bags, snacks, and books. Plus, when you sign up for the 2025 Summer Reading Challenge, you’ll also have a chance to win the grand prize—four round-trip tickets on Alaska Airlines!

To register, visit your nearest library or head to our Summer Reading Challenge webpage.

Let’s finish strong. E Heluhelu Kākou—Let’s Read Together!
