The 2026 General Election is Tuesday, November 3, and the Hawai‘i Office of Elections is reminding voters to take a few important steps now to make sure they are ready to cast their ballots.
1.
Your General Election ballot will arrive by mail. Hawai‘i registered voters automatically receive a mail ballot for every election.
2. Confirm your voter registration. Visit Hawai‘i Office of Elections website or call (808) 453-VOTE (8683) to confirm that your voter registration is current. If you have moved or changed your mailing address since the Primary Election, be sure to update online or by submitting a Voter Registration Application.
3. Track your ballot. Sign up for Hawaii’s free ballot tracking system. You’ll receive alerts when your ballot is mailed to you and when your voted ballot has been accepted for counting. You can expect to receive your ballot packet by October 16, 2026.
4. Learn about the candidates and ballot questions. View/download the digital voter guide to read statements from the candidates and explanations of the ballot questions. The voter guide is available in English, Chinese, Hawaiian, Ilocano, and Tagalog.
For quick reference to the ballot questions:
5. Return your ballot by 7:00 PM on November 3, 2026. Return your ballot by mail or drop off at a ballot drop box (view locations). Don’t forget to sign the return envelope for your ballot to be counted.
6. Need assistance? Accessible options are available including accessible voting equipment at voter service centers or requesting an electronic ballot if you have a print disability. Visit the State Office of Elections website to learn more.
