This year’s theme is E Heluhelu Kākou: Seeds of Knowledge, and we are celebrating Hawai‘i–our islands, people, environment, cultural heritage, literature, history, foods and arts.

Visit Hawai‘i State Library (Downtown Honolulu) for a fun-filled Kick-off event on Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Pre-registration begins on May 15! Three easy ways to join:

1. ONLINE: Go to librarieshawaii.beanstack.org
2. MOBILE APP: Download the Beanstack Tracker app from the Apple App Store (iPhone or iPad) or Google Play (for Android devices)
3. IN-PERSON: Visit your local library

Log your minutes using Beanstack. If you have never used Beanstack, watch this video tutorial.

Read from June 1 to July 31. Physical books, ebooks, audiobooks, graphic novels, large-print, magazines, e-magazines, newspapers, talking books, and Braille all qualify for reading minutes!

Libraries will be hosting a variety of cultural and enriching events for all ages throughout the summer. Our partners are the University of Hawai‘i’s Statewide Cultural Extension Program and Hawai‘i Department of Land and Natural Resources.
