This year’s theme is E Heluhelu Kākou: Seeds of Knowledge, and we are celebrating Hawai‘i–our islands, people, environment, cultural heritage, literature, history, foods and arts.

Visit Hawai‘i State Library (Downtown Honolulu) for a fun-filled Kick-off event on Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

In state observance of the King Kamehameha Day holiday, most public libraries will be closed on Monday, June 12, 2023. Oahu libraries that are normally open on Sundays will obverse the holiday on Sunday, June 11 and be open on June 12.
