About

Welcome to the Pahala Public and School Library! Located on the campus of Pahala Elementary and Ka`u High School, we opened in 1963 and were renovated in 1994. Our 4,000 sq. ft. library supports the community with a large computer lab and free Wi-Fi.

Upcoming Events

Tuesday evenings from 4:30pm-6:30pm, we welcome you to game night! Great way to test your mind in scrabble, battle your friends in battleship, assess your skills in checkers and chess, and more. We hope to see you at this fun-filled night!

No sign-up is needed. Program is for ages 5 and up.

If you’re a great Lego builder, or a first timer, this is the place for you! Children will have the opportunity to get creative following the selected theme or build anything they choose. They can either work on their own creations, or build as a team. Legos will be provided by the Library.

No sign-up is needed. Program is suitable for all ages. Young children must be accompanied by a parent or adult caregiver.

Children are advised to leave their personal Legos at home.

Join us for an afternoon movie! We show a different family-friendly movie each week -call the library @ 928-2015 to find out this week’s feature film. Free popcorn will be served, while supplies last!

Arts and crafts supplies

Join us every Thursday at 3:30 pm to create an enriching craft. We make different crafts every week and all materials are provided. No Sign up is needed. We recommend ages 3 and up. You can participate as a class group or individually.
