Copy machines are located at each of the 51 HSPLS public libraries. Fees for copying per page are displayed at each library. Patrons may be assessed an enhanced service fee of not less than 20 cents per page, and may also be assessed additional charges for color or special feature copying.

ALERT | Libraries will observe the Independence Day holiday July 3–5, 2026. Most libraries will be closed Friday, July 3; however, ʻAiea, ʻĀina Haina, Hanapēpē, Hawai‘i Kai, Hilo, Kahului, Kailua-Kona, Kīhei, Liliha, Makawao, McCully-Mōʻiliʻili, Princeville, Thelma Parker, Wahiawā, Waialua, Waimānalo, Waikīkī-Kapahulu, and Waipahu will be open July 3 and closed Saturday, July 4.

ALERT #1 | Access to the Scholastic BookFlix electronic resource will be discontinued effective May 21, 2026.

ALERT | All public libraries will be closed in state observance of King Kamehameha Day on Thursday, June 11, 2026.

ALERT #2 | In observance of Memorial Day, all public libraries will be closed from Saturday, May 23 through Monday, May 25, 2026.

ALERT | In holiday observance of Presidents' Day, all public libraries will be closed from Saturday to Monday, February 14 to 16, 2026.

ALERT | In holiday observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, all public libraries will be closed on Monday, January 19, 2026.
