Welcome to the Pearl City Public Library! One of the largest libraries on Oʻahu, our library opened on Nov. 15, 1969 as Pearl City Regional Library. We are one of three Oahu libraries open on Sundays and located next to the Pearl City Police Station.

Bring your kids into Pearl City Library every Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 to play and challenge their minds! Various puzzles and problem-solving toys are placed in the Children’s Room leading up to our weekly story time at 10:30.

In this presentation, representatives of the Okinawan Genealogical Society of Hawaii (OGSH) will describe the mission and history of the organization and how it supports learning about immigrant family genealogy and Okinawan history & culture. Another service the OGSH offers is to help Hawaii Okinawans find and meet their relatives in Okinawa. Members will share recent experiences of meeting their relatives abroad.

Join us for Tai Chi – a form of martial arts and low impact exercise for Older Adults 50+. Medical clearance by a physician is recommended. Wear comfortable clothing and covered-toe shoes. Bring bottled water or water in reusable drinkware.
About the instructors: Rebecca Neudorf and Ron Ishimaru are certified by the Tai Chi for Health Institute. They teach Sun style Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention, an evidence-based exercise program endorsed by the CDC and the Hawaii Department of Health EMS and Injury Prevention System Branch.
