All public libraries and support offices will be closed in observance of the upcoming state holidays:

Christmas Day – Thursday, December 25, 2025
All public libraries that normally offer evening hours will close no later than 4 p.m. on Wednesday, December 24th. These branches will have adjusted holiday hours.

• Hawai‘I Island: Hilo, Kealakekua, Mountain View, and Thelma Parker
• Kaua‘i: Kōloa, Līhuʻe, Princeville, and Waimea
• Maui: Hāna, Makawao and Moloka‘i
• O‘ahu: Kaimukī, Kalihi-Pālama, Kāneʻohe, Kapolei, Mānoa, Mililani, Wahiawā Pop-Up, Waialua, Wai‘anae, Waimānalo, and Waipahu

New Year’s Day – Thursday, January 1, 2026

All public libraries that normally offer evening hours will close no later than 4 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31st. These branches will have adjusted holiday hours.

Prince Jonah Kūhiō Kalanianaʻole Day – Thursday, March 26, 2026

Good Friday – Friday, April 3, 2026
The Kaimukī, Kāneʻohe, and Pearl City branches that are typically open on Sundays will be closed to observe Easter on April 5th.

Memorial Day – Saturday to Monday, May 23 to 25, 2026

King Kamehameha Day – Thursday, June 11, 2026
