Holiday Schedules

All public libraries and support offices will be closed in observance of the following state holidays:

General Election Day – Tuesday, November 3, 2026

Veterans Day – Wednesday, November 11, 2026

Thanksgiving Day – Thursday, November 26, 2026

Christmas Day – Friday, December 25, 2026

New Year’s Day – Friday, January 1, 2027

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day – Monday, January 18, 2027
Libraries that are normally closed on Monday will observe the holiday on Tuesday, January 19.

Presidents’ Day – Saturday to Monday, February 13 to 15, 2027

Prince Jonah Kūhiō Kalanianaʻole Day & Good Friday – Friday, March 26, 2027

Memorial Day – Saturday to Monday, May 29 to 31, 2027

King Kamehameha Day – Friday, June 11, 2027

HOLIDAY CLOSURE | In observance of General Election Day, all public libraries will be closed on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.

HOLIDAY CLOSURE | In observance of Veterans Day, all public libraries will be closed on Wednesday, November 11, 2026.

ALERT #1 | All Kaua‘i libraries will remain closed through Friday, September 11, 2026, as the island continues to recover from the impacts of Hurricane Lowell.
