Are You Financially Ready for College? A College Planning Workshop

Learn how to prepare for the future to save for your children’s education.

Lawrence Serrano, a Senior Marketing Director with a financial organization, will discuss the following topics:

Discover – How much to save?; Using a College Savings Calculator; College funding with the U.S. 529 Savings Plan; Coaching Programs (HIFE College Planning Program); FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid); EFC (Expected Family Contribution); Student Loans, Grants, Scholarships and more options like life insurance, IRA’s, and other investment plans.

Brandon Lorezco, a college student and who participated in a college planning program, will talk about how he prepared himself for college while in high school. Brandon was the recipient of over $100K in scholarships.

Program schedule is subject to change. Contact the library 10 days in advance to request a sign language interpreter or if special accommodations are needed.
