Welcome to the Wahiawa Public Library! Designed by Arthur Kohara and built by Wahiawa Builders, our current library building opened on July 15, 1965. Wahiawa Public Library is the oldest library on Oahu; in 2015 it celebrated 75 years of service. As an important community information node, literacy, lifelong learning, and a love of reading remain vital to our library’s mission.
On Saturday, May 4th, visit this participating library during open hours to receive a free comic book of your choice, while supplies last. Some titles include:
Selection may vary at each participating location.
Hawaii’s Free Comic Book Day is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Library of Hawai‘i.
Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required. All programs are subject to change.
Come learn popular and classic line dances in a fun, judgment free zone with other local dance enthusiasts! Follow along with simple dance instructions for popular line and non-line dances such as Electric Slide, Achy Breaky Heart, Chili Cha Cha, Staying Alive, and more! Each session will build upon the last one. This event is low stress and will get your blood pumping with some of the more challenging songs.
Depending on demand, Wahiawa Public Library will continue offering this program monthly. NOTE: The people running this program are dance enthusiasts who like to dance and are looking for others who love dancing like they do. There will be some minor dance instruction to introduce new dances. The goal of this program is to have fun and get moving!
Event is open to all who want to attend. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
