Welcome to the Waialua Public Library! Built by Isamu Abe Construction, our current library is the smallest public library on Oahu. In 1997, the Public Library Association (division of American Library Association) honored it as the “Best Small/Rural Library in America.” In 2013, our library celebrated its 85th Anniversary in grand-style.

Join the Readers Group at the Waialua Public Library on the fourth Thursday of every month from 9:30am-10:30am to discuss the book of the month, and engage in lively (and respectful) discourse with other readers.
Note: November’s meeting has been rescheduled due to Thanksgiving. The book for December 4th is A Separate Peace, and Peace Breaks Out, by John Knowles.
Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required.

Join us Saturday at 10:00am for story time! We’ll sing songs, read a few stories, then make a craft. Great fun for preschoolers and their parents or caregivers!

Celebrate the holiday season at the Library!
Santa Claus will be spreading joy through a delightful 30-minute story session, sharing beloved holiday tales, and taking photos with keiki and their families. Use your own camera to capture the special moment with Santa! Keiki will receive a special gift, while supplies last.
Recommended for children ages 3 to 6, but all ages are welcome to this free event. All children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
