Learn about the Nisei soldiers of World War II through an interesting and informative four-panel exhibit which provides a brief history of the various military units, as well as information about several veterans who went on to become prominent leaders in Hawaii, including former Governor George R. Ariyoshi, U.S. Senator Spark M. Matsunaga and U.S. Senator Daniel K. Inouye. Sumi-e in Paradise: Exhibition of Student Work

An exhibition of Sumi-e artwork by students of local instructor and artist Hisae Shouse.  In the Japanese art of Sumi-e, artists use simple materials, such as black ink and water, to express the essence of a subject with a variety of tones and dynamic brush strokes.
