Welcome to the Ewa Beach Public & School Library! Designed by Robert M. Matsushita and Associates, Inc., our library opened on Aug. 28, 1971 on the James Campbell High School campus. Laptop computers were installed in 2012 to create the first computer lab in the Library System. Our atrium features “Pupu Aʻo Ewa,” a distinctive copper and bronze sculpture by the late Bumpei Akaji.

This free program encourages you to read 1,000 books with your child before he or she enters Kindergarten. One of the best ways to encourage learning is to spend time sharing books every day. Reading together helps develop important pre-reading skills that provide a solid reading foundation – a key to school and learning success. Plus, sharing stories together is fun!
Stop by Ewa Beach Library to enroll and pick up your reading log. Return to the branch after each hundred books read for a sticker and your next recording sheet.
Happy Reading!
