Book Character Pumpkin Decorating Contest

The Kailua-Kona Public Library is hosting a book character pumpkin decorating contest! Contest divisions include: Children's Divisions (Two divisions: K-2nd grade and 3rd-5th grade) Teen Divisions (Two divisions: 6th-8th grade and 9th-12th grade) Stop by the Children's Section and/or the Teen Section beginning Tuesday, October 3rd through Wednesday, October 25th to pick up a contest rules/entry form. Snap an appropriate photo with an image from any book or magazine over your face (and your friend's face too!) to create a new image. Pokemon fans of all ages and skills play a friendly game of Pokemon card trading, whereby players battle using cards to change into different pokemons and gain powers along the way. Join our LEGO Wall community!  Children, teens and families are encouraged to imagine, create, share and build with thousands of LEGO pieces and figurines.  This free, open, community build takes place on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm and on Tuesdays from 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm.  Space is limited.  Creations remain on our LEGO Wall for 1 month.  New creations go up on the first day of the month that the library is open.
