Please join us for our February book club! This month’s pick is Paved Paradise: How Parking Explains the World by Slate staff writer Henry Grabar. In a beguiling and absurdly hilarious mix of history, politics, and reportage, Grabar brilliantly surveys the nation’s parking crisis, revealing how the compulsion for car storage has exacerbated some of our most acute problems — from housing affordability to the accelerating global climate disaster — and, ultimately, hwo to can free our cities from parking’s cruel yoke. (from publisher website)

Copies of the book are available at the library’s circulation desk. All books are chosen by members of the group.

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests of 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required. All programs are subject to change.
