Cell Phone Photography

You don’t need a fancy camera to take great photos. Improve your cell phone photography skills with with David Ulrich. This 90-minute program will introduce the basic, fundamental visual dynamics of photography and some of the technical aspects of cell phone photography, such as camera settings and apps. Learn to take better photographs in any situation.

For ages 12 and up.

David Ulrich is a professor who teaches at Pacific New Media, University of Hawai‘i Mānoa and Chaminade University. He is an active photographer and writer whose work has been published in numerous books and journals. Ulrich’s photographs have been exhibited internationally in over 75 one person and group exhibitions. He is the author of The Widening Stream: the Seven Stages of Creativity.

This program is funded by a grant from The Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Foundation & Rotary Club of Windward Oahu, and administered through the Friends of the Library of Hawai‘i. This is a production of the University of Hawaii at Manoa Outreach College’s Statewide Cultural Extension Program with additional funding and support provided by the National Endowment for the Arts, Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, and the University of Hawaii.
