Book Club

May 12, 2022 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Faithful and Virtuous Night book cover, a greytoned, dark depiction of a city with it's highways.

The Honoka‘a Public Library’s Book Club meets every month to discuss a book chosen by the members. May’s book is the narrative poem “Faithful and Virtuous Night” by Louise Glück. This work won the National Book Award for Poetry in 2014, and Glück was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2020 for “her unmistakable poetic voice that with austere beauty makes individual existence universal.” Please call the library with any questions you may have, or to request a copy of the book.

We have taken enhanced safety measures for you, our patrons, and our staff. You must follow all posted instructions when visiting and/or participating in library programming. An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. By visiting and/or participating in library programming, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19. Please help keep each other healthy.

If you need an auxiliary aid/service or other accommodation due to a disability, please contact the library 7 days prior to the program date. We will make every attempt to fulfill all requests for accommodations. All programs are subject to change.
