POSTED: August 29, 2018
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the August 30th program has been rescheduled to Thursday, September 13th at 3 p.m. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Have you ever had an accident and bumped your head? Or almost injured your head? Afterwards, you rested and felt better, and went about your regular routine. But, did you know that not all people who have concussions black out and have symptoms? Symptoms of these injuries can be hidden from view.

In this presentation, learn what the symptoms of brain injury and concussions are, and how to treat or prevent head and spinal cord injuries. The Hawai’i Neurotrauma Registry is a project administered by the Pacific Disabilities Center to help people understand neurotrauma injuries. Their focuses are education and prevention and this child friendly presentation is for keiki ages 5 and up, their parents and other adults who are interested in preventing or treating brain injuries and concussions.

Children ages 5-10 years old who attend can enter to win a Razor V-17 Youth Multi-Sport Helmet.  Child must be present to win.  All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
