An event every month that begins at 3:00pm on day First of the month, repeating indefinitely
Children in grades 1-5 will have the opportunity to read to registered therapy dogs and/or dogs in training from Assistance Dogs of Hawaii. It is a unique approach to make reading fun for children, with the ultimate goal of improving literacy skills and building self-confidence. Parents must pre-register for 15-minute time slots, and a parent/caregiver must be present during the session.
All programs are subject to change. If you require an auxiliary aid or accommodation due to a disability, please contact the library at least 7 days before the program date.
