Japanese children receive monetary gifts in little envelopes called “pochibukuro.” The New Year’s pochibukuro is called “otoshidama.” Eco-crafter Evelyn Nakamura will show participants how to create pochibukuro from found materials. Examples of varied uses and adaptations for these envelopes will be shared.
