To play around with the idea of escape velocity, you’ll need more control over the amount of force applied to your rocket.  How much force will it take to launch a rocket as high as it will go?  How much will it take to launch a rocket to a specific target?  Build a straw rocket and test it yourself.  Young children must be accompanied by a parent or adult caregiver.
