Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame Inductee Display

January 11, 2017 - February 6, 2017

Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame Inductee Display

The Hawaii State Library is proud to host the Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame Inductee Display which celebrates the achievements of composers, singers, and performers of traditional Hawaiian music.

The Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame was founded in 1994. Each year, the Advisory Board chooses several gifted composers, musicians, and vocalists, who have been instrumental in creating and perpetuating Hawaii’s unique musical voice, to be inducted into the Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame.

Designed on beautifully carved koa panels, the Inductee Display features biographical information and photographs for a number of Hall of Fame inductees including Kealumoku, Henri Berger, Charles E. King, Joseph Kekuku, Helen Desha Beamer, Lena Machado, Victoria Ii Rodrigues, Mary Kawena Pukui, Alfred Apaka, and Sol K. Bright.

UPDATE: We apologize for the short notice, but the exhibit end date has changed.  The exhibit is being uninstalled February 7, 2017.
