About

Welcome to the Mānoa Public Library! Designed by architect Gary Kawakami of Architecture Plus, Inc., and built by Allied Pacific Builders on the site of the original library, our $10.3 million replacement library opened on June 9, 2012. Our environmentally-friendly library features free Wi-Fi, computer laptop area, separate programming room, photovoltaic solar panels, high-efficiency air-conditioning system, and covered parking for cars and bicycles. In 2013, Mānoa Public Library was awarded the prestigious Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold Certification.

Yoga Kids

Parents, come enjoy the tried and true benefits of Joseph Pilates’s exercises, dance, or gentle yoga, while kids play, or participate!  Bring a mat and a few shareable toys to entertain keiki, and prepare to strengthen, stretch and destress in a relaxed, family-friendly environment.

Come join us in our final movie for the spooky season. Haunted Mansion is a reboot adaptation that follows a group of people who stumble into a mansion that’s quite like no other, one where the previous inhabitants, some who are ghastly, lingers and haunts the halls.

We will also be holding a costume contest, come dressed in your costume and vote for the top favorite and a runner-up. Winners will earn a prize!

Want to learn how to crochet for the season or relearn the skill? Join the Mānoa Public Library’s YA Librarian for a beginner’s workshop on the craft. Learn basic information on crochet, how to start a project, stitches and finish the last loop.

Supplies will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own yarn and crochet hook.

Come crochet the cutest bag charm for the month! Not only would it be a great handmade gift, but it’s also another way to customize your daily bag or the one you take to go on vacation. This project is recommended for confident beginners who know their stitches.

You are welcome to bring your own yarn and crochet hook but supplies will be provided.
