Pahoa Public and School Library

About

Welcome to the Pāhoa Public and School Library! Our library opened on Sept. 3, 1967. We’re located on the campus of Pāhoa High and Elementary School and serve residents and students from two area schools. Recently, we were an important hub after being hit by a hurricane and lava flows approached from Kīlauea volcano.

Social Service Navigation at Pāhoa Public & School Library

A Puna Social Service Navigator and Certified Kokua Specialist from Kumukahi Health + Wellness will be on-site to offer first-come, first-served navigation and appointment setting. Life in Puna looks different than in other parts of our island, and asking for help can feel hard—even from friends or neighbors. Stop by Mondays from 12–4 PM to talk story and find the support you need. Together, we can do so much.
