Friends’ Lecture Series: Good Grief: Embracing Life & Giving Good Support

May 22, 2019 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Lecture title card with title over aqua background

Grief and providing good support for those grieving are difficult topics we tend to shy away from, often out of fear we will drive others away with our own grief or we will say the wrong thing to those who are grieving. In this lecture we will get cozy with grief, recognizing it is an inevitable part of life.

The purpose of the lecture is to empower the grieving to find hope and ways to navigate through the tunnel of grief and shed light on the process for those supporting loved ones. It will also offer ways to create a partnership between the griever and their support systems. Both overarching thoughts and practical tools will be on tap, so have your pens ready!

This free event is made possible by the Friends of the North Shore Library at Princeville as part of the Dotty Nakea Memorial Speaker Program and  ʻOhana Oasis.

If you need an auxiliary aid/service or other accommodation due to a disability, please contact the library at least 7 days prior to the program date. We will make every attempt to fulfill all requests for accommodations. All programs are subject to change. For a list of upcoming library events, visit www.librarieshawaii.org/events
