Ginger and Turmeric: Food or Medicine?

Join Susan Collins as she gives a demonstration at Laupahoehoe Library on how to use Ginger Root and Turmeric Root for various recipes. Participants will learn about adding Ginger and Turmeric to everyday cooking and routine. Participants will be able to sample and take home new recipes. Participants will also receive free samples of Ginger and Turmeric to use in their own recipes!

Both Ginger and Turmeric have long proven culinary and medicinal purposes. These roots are native to southeastern Asia. They grow well in Hawaii and can be found statewide. Come learn more about these fascinating roots with us and a local farmer!
