Please join us in the library’s first floor reading room for a fascinating lecture on one of Hawaii’s prominent historical figures, Joseph Nāwahī, delivered by historian Dr. Ronald Williams, Jr.  This illustrated research presentation will seek to honor ka po’e aloha ʻāina (the patriot) Iosepa Kahoʻoluhi Nāwahīokalaniʻōpuʻu by sharing a primary-resource based history of his 19th-century life and 21st-century legacy.

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required.
