Re-Thinking The Hanapēpē Massacre

Registration is limited and opens at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, using the “Register” link, in-person at the Hanapēpē Public Library , or by phoning the library at 808-335-8418.

Join us as we learn more about the Hanapēpē Massacre with Mike Miranda and Ray Catania. There will be a short presentation detailing some of the history and events that led up to the massacre on September 9, 1924, followed by refreshments and community conversations.

1-3 p.m. Hanapēpē Public Library Meeting Room

Optional tour taking us to the locations where some of this important history took place. Maps will be provided. Times listed below are approximate.

REFRESHMENTS will be served courtesy of the Friends of the Hanapēpē Public Library.
