How Do I Navigate Utility Assistance Programs and Resources?

Valerie Trujillo, Education Specialist, with the Division of Consumer Advocacy,

Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, State of Hawai’i, will present on utility assistance programs available to qualifying consumers in Hawai’i, including:

  • Understanding Available Assistance Programs
  • Strategies to Reduce Utility Expenses
  • Exploring Long Term Solutions for Affordability
  • Practical Tips for Efficient Use of Utilities

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required.
