For the month of March, the Hawaii State Library Book Group will discuss Close Range: Wyoming Stories by Annie Proulx.

From the Pulitzer Prize winning author of The Shipping News, Close Range: Wyoming Stories is the celebrated 1999 collection that includes Brokeback Mountain, the basis for the 2005 Ang Lee film starring Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal. Annie Proulx’s masterful language and fierce love of Wyoming are on full display in these breathtaking tales of loneliness, quick violence, and love.
