Dean Taba playing electric bass and Noel Okimoto playing vibraphone.

In celebration of Black History Month, immerse yourself in what many argue is America’s only unique musical art form.

Dean Taba and Noel Okimoto, master musicians, will play various jazz styles, and they will also share the secrets of how jazz musicians improvise a solo or accompaniment.

This program is produced by the UH Manoa Outreach College’s Statewide Cultural Extension Program.

Program schedule is subject to change or cancellation without notice.  Contact the library at least 10 days in advance to request a sign language interpreter or if other special accommodation is needed.
