Native Forest Birds Poem and Puppet Workshop

January 26, 2023 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Cover of "Enchanting Creatures of Hawaii Island," a coloring book.

Listen to the sounds of the forest, learn native forest bird facts, and create your very own forest bird poem and puppet! Join artist, author, and educator Erzsi Palko in a fun celebration of her new coloring book, Enchanting Creatures of Hawaii Island, published by Petroglyph Press. She’ll teach a great activity that can be repeated again and again whenever you’re out in nature with children.

Ms. Erzsi, MSc., creates art inspired by listening in nature…from directing circus theater productions to painting and writing and illustrating books. A new edition of her ecological coloring book, Enchanting Creatures of Hawaiʻi Island:  a coloring book, was published this past summer by Petroglyph Press in Hilo.  She has taught science, dance, theater, circus arts, and coached K-6th homeschool curriculum. For more information on Erzsi’s artwork, and free coloring pages, visit her online at www.erzsipalko.com.
